1912 Ford Model T - TORPEDO ROADSTER Hey, thanks for checking out this rare Brass Era 1912 Ford Model T, these cars are getting harder to find, you do not see a Torpedo Roadster very often, you see more general Roadsters with the gas tank under the seat, and Mother-in-law seats, but the Torpedo was more of a Henry Ford Sport model if you want to call it that, a modern day Hot Rod, if you have never seen one of these cars, here you go this will be a treat. This car is owned by a very good friend of mine, he has owned it for many years. But it has come a time to thin the heard down a little bit, so this one has to go. This car has not been for sale to the public in a very long time, so hopefully we can find a great care taker for it here on Ebay. It is titled here in Oregon, as a 1912 Ford Model T. Here is a general description of it, very clean T, take a look at all the photos inside and out. It is Finished in a light blue/green over black fenders, I have always liked the looks of this ...

This blue with black fenders roadster is an early example of the innovative cars Oldsmobile was building after General Motors purchased the company from R.E. Olds in 1908. This well-preserved motorcar is a nice example of a rarely seen V8 model. The flathead V8 was certainly way ahead of its time. The story of this particular Knox begins with its purchase by Mr. Gilmartin of Neligh, Nebraska, a small town about 140 miles northwest of Omaha. It's believed this was James Gilmartin who was a warehouse inspector for the milling industry in the area, a job that would require reliable transportation. Mr. Gilmartin used the car for many years and is reported to have had the larger-than-original Standard Universal rims installed on the car for extra clearance on the perilous Nebraska roads.
