1936 Packard Twelve Model 1408 Convertible Sedan One of 682 Packard Twelves built in 1936! This Dietrich-bodied Convertible Sedan is one of very few ever produced! Packard Beige over brand new Red Leather upholstery! CCCA Full Classic! The Packard Twelve was introduced in 1932 in response to Cadillac’s V16 that had been capturing the upper one percent’s attention for the past two years. Building upon the legacy of the fabled but discontinued Packard Twin-Six that put Cadillac in their place from 1916-1923, the new Twelve was launched with an all-new 67-degree 446ci V12 with four main bearings and integrally cast block and crank. Continuous yearly updates and an engine stroking in 1934 to 473ci kept the Twelve on top of its competition. All said and done, Packard sold 682 Twelves in 1936 compared to only 52 Cadillac Sixteens and 901 V12 cars. 1936 would prove to be the final year for wire wheels and Cadillac’s unique “Packard Stabilizer” chassis vibration dampers. We are very excited to ...

1937 Packard Model 120 8 cylinder; low production club sedan, formal body style. I purchased this vehicle in December 2008 from a couple in Greenwood Lake, NY who owned it for 10 years. I have the maintenance records for the last 17 years. The engine was replaced with a straight-eight engine from another 1937 120 model by a previous owner. The odometer currently shows 73,000 miles. The beige wool interior was also replaced by a previous owner. The transmission is a 3-speed on the floor and shifts smoothly. The exterior had a 1-1/2 year restoration in 2010. The original color is maroon which is the current color. Most of the chrome was replaced and all the glass is good. The exterior roof insert was replaced in 2011. New tires. Factory working heater, all gauges work except the clock. The battery was replaced in December 2014. The Packard drives wonderfully and is very dependable. It is garage kept and has never been taken out in inclement weather. It has a clean title. The Packard must ...

This Packard 180 was first introduced in 1940 and was Packard's top of the line vehicle. This was their replacement for the V12 models which had been used in previous years. The new design received a 356cc inline 8-cylinder engine which was able to produce an astounding 160hp. This would be claimed as the strongest 8-cylinder in the market at that time and Packard had placed a firm foothold in the realm of performance and Luxury. With a 110, 120, 160 and 180 series, the body styles were all very similar, the 180 was esteemed as the most luxurious as it hosted exquisite interior detailing, including wood trim and vanities. Its lush carpets and superior fabrics fitted to its interior were presented in a prestigious manner. Out of all of the 1900 Packard 180’s built, not many were similar with the 10 various body styles that were offered for that model alone. Each one was custom to its own rare and unique specifications and although the custom body era was drawing to a close shortly after ...

Originally owned by a banker in Los Angeles who joined the Army and was stationed at Alamogordo, NM where the atomic bomb was developed. He took the car there and the Army talked him into selling it to the Army as a staff vehicle to pick up high level people at the train station etc. After the war was over, Dick Wetisel who grew up near the bank in LA and saw the car coming and going, tracked the car down by its VIN, and found it was being auctioned by the government . 1938 Packard Six model 1600. Very solid car virtually no rust. It's been a weekend and evenings project. I bought the car with the engine dismantled and all machine work done. Over the last 3 or 4 years I've been slowly putting it together, cleaning and repairing this and that along the way. Rebuilt brakes (totally), new fuel system including boiling and relining the gas tank, new tires, lights work, gauges work, over-drive transmission (the relay is not hooked up). Lots of time spent. Plenty of new parts from Kanters and others. I also have a folder of old photos and receipts from the two previous owners. I need the room more than the car....selling it for what it's worth, not what I've got into it. $8000. thanks, Erik 707.357.0880

1933 Packard Eight Convertible Sedan 130bhp, 320 cu. in. L-head nine main bearing inline eight-cylinder engine with three speed synchromesh transmission, four wheel vacuum assisted mechanical brakes, leaf spring suspension, and live hypoid rear axle. Wheelbase: 134? The current owner of this 1933 Packard Eight Convertible Sedan prepared this car for a Caravan that he was unable to complete due to a stiff arm. He had the motor fully rebuilt and now has less than 500 miles on it. The generator, starter have been rebuilt and new coils. Motor has been detailed as original. Brakes are good as well. Body is very solid, tires are good, no paint issues, drives like a ’33 Packard should. Any 1933 Packard is certainly rare, less than 5,000 of all models combined we produced, just under 1,100 1002 models. Pictures show the condition cosmetically. Mechanics are turn key.
