1956 Continental MARK IIIF YOU LOVE THIS CAR MAKE AN OFFERI WILL NOT BE RELISTINGNO OFFERS ACCEPTED AFTER LISTING ENDS The Continental Mark II is a personal luxury car that was produced by the newly created Continental Division of the Ford Motor Company, in 1956 and 1957. An attempt to build a post-World War II car to rival the greatest of the pre-War era, or anything produced in Europe, it is regarded as a rare and elegant classic. History: By the beginning of the 1950s, with the future of Lincoln more secure, Ford began development work on a fourth division, intended to build the most expensive American car, priced even above Cadillac, Packard, and Imperial. The new vehicle was not intended to be the largest or most powerful automobile; rather, the most luxurious and elegant American car available, designed to recapture the spirit of the great classics of the prewar periodówith prices to match. Design: What emerged was something quite unlike other American cars of the period. While other ...

up for sale is a 1973 Lincoln continental mark IV . I am the second owner of this car,it was used as a daily driver to the late 1990s by the orig owner till she passed away then sat till last year when I got it, I replaced the fuel pump and the 460 motor fired right up and sounds great. but the carb will need to be cleaned or replaced for it to run perfect. will need a battery everything works except for the clock, the gas gauge, and the driver side window which sound like it came off its track but not sure. transmission shifts as it should and the power brakes work as they should but should be gone through. headlight doors still open and close as they should,. radio and antenna still work as well. Car does have some rust and rot but not to bad for the age .pass door has a rot hole in it on the bottom . the paint literally peeled off the trunk lid and parts of the hood so it is down to bare metal but the metal is not rotted in these locations. the white leather interior is in nice condition, ...

1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible Serial #5Y86N429518 HISTORY: In 1961 Lincoln introduced the fourth generation of the Continental to rave reviews. It was a dramatic departure from all previous Lincolns and formed the foundation for that marques unprecedented success for the next decade. For the first time their styling was truly influential and trend setting. The Lincoln and Continental names were now combined representing a merger in the once separate lines. In fact, they would only produce two models that year; a sedan and a convertible (actually a convertible sedan, the first American 4-door drop-top since 1951). This strikingly beautiful new Lincoln, characterized by its slab-sided and unadorned appearance, actually had its roots in a Thunderbird proposal designed by a Ford Special Products team led by Elwood Engle. The 1961 models were substantially more compact than previous Lincolns but had an understated sophistication. Almost form the beginning, this generation of Continentals ...
