Up for auction is a really nice 1956 Studebaker. The truck came from Texas and hasn't been on the road since 1987. I have most of the registrations from 60's until it was off the road. It was used on a farm in Texas as a cattlehauler. The truck runs and drives. It has a V8 gas engine and a manual transmission with a 2 speed rear end. The hydraulic brakes don't really work, but the mechanical brake does. I've driven this truck around my farm and it starts right up and goes. They body is in nice solid shape. The floor boards and frame are nice. It has a nice patina. It would make a great restoration project or rat rod. Obviously, this truck cannot be driven home. It runs and drives good enough to get on a trailer. The vehicle will not include the front license plate. I am in the auto transport business and can help with shipping. Email roaddogtrans@yahoo.com for a shipping quote. Any questions, call 330-581-1160.

Legendary Western New York 60's & 70's stock class(O Stock an others) drag race terror- Pete Magel's 1952 Studebaker "The Maggot" Pete was from Clarence Center NY and raced the Maggot at nearby Lancaster Dragway. He also raced at Cayuga in Cayuga Ontario Canada and at Niagara in Niagara Falls NY. And a trip to Indy where he took a 2nd in his class. He was almost always unbeaten. A lot of racers dreaded pulling to the line next to him. The picture of it racing is at Niagara in 1967. I purchased the car from the guys who found it where Pete had stored it in about 1982. Pete is no longer with us so exact details on what he did to this car went with him. All I know is what I have heard from people that knew him or raced against him. So to get it up and running I tried to channel Pete as I had to figure out some of the strange and ingenius things he did. He did cut weight wherever he could--Hood and Trunk emblems and trim removed-- Half of the bumper brackets left off-- Original seat replaced ...

1948 Green Dragon Specialmore photos at link below1948 Studebaker Green Dragon photo linkThe Green Dragon began its life as a 1948 Studebaker Champion, a truly unique creation in automotive history. In 1956, plans were formulated to transform this family’s basic transportation vehicle into the owners idea of what all young American men of that era wanted… a European sports car! He studied the designs by Morgan, MG, Alfa Romeo,SS Jaguar and many others. In June of 1958 the talents of a young mechanical engineer employed at Allis Chalmers, began the transformation. The Green Dragon Special was hand built over an eight year documented period and was a proven road machine. The basis of the GD Special is a 1948 Studebaker drive train and chassis. Frame and wheelbase was shortened from 112” to 100”, a mere 6 inches longer than a 1955 MG TF. A rebuilt 80 HP Studebaker flathead 6 cyl engine and 3spd w/overdrive transmission was set back 20 inches and lowered eight inches into the frame according ...

You are looking at an original 1962 Studebaker Lark Convertible. The coco brown paint job is original from the factory. This car comes with a 289 V8 engine with a manual four speed transmission with overdrive. This Lark has been upgraded with an electronic ignition and wire alternator. I’m 3rd owner, 2nd owner had it for 30 years. It has power steering (has a leak), power disc brakes new, a/c needs to be converted to R134,I think radio needs fuse, as does dish lights. It has the following: new brake lines, new brake pads, rebuilt carburetor record radiator, new dual exhaust, valve job, 5 new tires, new fuel pump, new front wind lace, front seats material is starting to split (from sun), rear seats seem ok. I do not see any rust, paint was originally white, it is now light blue, also the clock does not work (probably a fuse), the chrome is very good. The car runs very well. Recent oil change and zinc was added. I only take the car to cruise nights. It is very well received. I have won trophies. ...

Your looking at a very unique car. I like things that are different that stand out in a crowd and this is it. when was the last time you see one of these or have you ever. I have tried to take good clean close up pictures so you can see how nice this car is. great body and paint sitting on a modern S10 frame and drivetrain. 4.3 vortec with a 700r trans. lots of work and money went into this car.the paint looks great but is not new. there are a few very minor scratches. nothing that I can even show in the pictures. the drivers seat does need some repair.(see picture) the heater wipers all the lights work good. there is a nice set of gauges in the car. speedo not working. nice wheels and tires. runs and drives great very dependable. gets looks and compliments whenever and wherever I go. the car is a blast to drive. I am having some internet problems so if I don't email you back please call or text.815-821-3556 I am selling off my cars so please check out my other auctions. I will not give ...
