I am the 2nd owner of this car. I purchased it in 1976. I have the service records. Newer tires and brakes. The wire wheels are also just a couple of years old. The car runs great. Electronic Ignition upgrade. Upgraded stereo/speakers. No rust. I am a non-smoker. This car has only been garaged. I had a sunroof installed back in the 1980's, no leaks. I live in Irvine and the car is available for a test drive anytime. I have been an active e-bay member since 1998, email me with any questions.

Small car + Big engine = 1 bad ass vintage sports car. 1974 was the first year Datsun put their 2.6L Inline 6 engine in the z series, and WOW does it deliver. Due to its light curb-weight being just over a ton, this car easily became a competitor when it came to "Classic Vintage Muscle". We post these our cars online during this process to give our buyers an opportunity... to either pre-own the car or at times, we have had some of our buyers tailor the build to their desired specifications. Up for sale is a 1972 Datsun 240Z. Vin# HLS30-81994 with a build date of 05/72. This is a running car. I just rebuilt the carbs. It could use a tune-up: plugs, oil, etc. In it's current state it funs very strong in the mid rpm range. This is pretty much a complete car as far as drive train, suspension and sheet metal. The interior would need to be replaced. This car has been in the southwest for years so there is minimal dust but lots of dry rot, which means most if not all the rubber needs to be replaced. The frame rails are in great shape for their age with no rust issues and no major dents. The battery tray area is rust free as well as the spare tire well. One of the doglegs has been repaired. The passenger side front fender has a dent in it with a small rust bubble at the bottom end behind the wheel but a replacement fender comes with the car. The person that owned it before had put a rear spoiler on it and did a crappy job installing it so I replaced it with a better rear hatch. The ...

1974 Datsun 260 z Really nice car. Needs a few bits and pieces and a tune up. Starts runs, drives, and shifts through all the gears. Been sitting for a while (inside) but nothing serious. Brakes work but are a little weak. Newer paint but it has a small rust bubble or two, again nothing major. Interior is clean. Front seats do have splits in the fabric. Easy car to finish and ride. Only some emblems and a tune up. Hard to find a z car in this good of shape. Only 159000 miles. Car has a clear clean VA title.Car is in Windsor Virginia for viewing.

Stock #: 4789-CHA Exterior Color: Gold Interior Color: Tan Body Type: Coupe Transmission: Automatic (Floor) Drivetrain: RWD Engine: Inline 6 Title Condition: Clear Vehicle Description You're looking at the last year for the original Z-car. So this 1978 Datsun 280Z 2+2 has the iconic design we all love and all the best updates learned over this model's run. The Z cars defined 1970s motoring in America, and that's best represented in one color: Gold Metallic. It's that perfect hue that seemed as disco-friendly as the leisure suit forty years ago, and it's still an attention getter today. But really the reason why... the color still works so well is because the original color was given a professional respray ...
