1971 Karmann Ghia Convertible. Up until about 6 years ago, it ran well, but will not start now due to disuse. It has been in my garage for the past 6 years. Prior to that I drove it on a semi-regular basis around town, and it ran well. I bought this car in 1985, and I was the second owner. It has been a second car for me. In early 1990s, I had it painted, replaced the top and interior and had it looking and running great. As you can see from the photos, it needs a new top (the wooden bow is rotted), it has some rust around the edges, it has a few dents on the back left (my wife backed into it). The interior is cracking. All I can say about the engine is it ran well when it was last cranked six years ago (it would have a little gas smell sometimes). There were no problems with the transmission. I am not a mechanic and have not made an effort to get it to start, but I have no reason to believe it has any significant problem. The last time I drove it the brakes were not great. When I tried ...

Very cool 1972 Volkswagen Bus for sale. This bus is configured with the 3 passenger rear seat and table/bench setup. No rust around wheel wells, and all of the body is solid. The van appears to have been repainted with the original color and carries the original dealer plate on the back. The paint is in great shape and the bus has been stored inside. It has the somewhat unique option of top engine access under the rear sleeping pad. The engine runs strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly. It is a blast to drive and catches a lot of eyes on the road. The radio has not worked since we have owned it, and we never jacked with it because it almost seems like a travesty to hide the classic VW engine sound; it's all part of the experience. Does it use some oil? It doesn't smoke but not really sure because it does leak some oil - it's a bus. We believe that we are the 3rd owners and purchased it from the grandson of the original owner. The odometer is exempt but works, and I would not be ...

Here's a nice little classic bug that I'm selling for a friend. It's not a show car although it looks like one at first glance. It's a great little driver with a freshly rebuilt engine (about 100 miles) and it has has an upgraded 12 volt system with the Bosch alternator. The transmission shifts well, the clutch is smooth and the brakes are all new (front brakes have been converted to disc). The paint is very nice but not perfect. The interior also shows well but isn't perfect. The tires are very good although it has these funky fake white walls that look good only from a distance. The lights all work including the dash, the fuel gauge works and the speedometer works but it makes noise at higher speeds. This is a rust free, California bug ready to drive anywhere. Again, not a show car but overall a really nice driver. The tags expired last month but the fees have all been paid. The owner wants to sell it as-is with no reserve so please ask any questions before you bid. Thanks! On Feb-17-18 ...

Up for sale is our 1967 Karmann Ghia coupe purchased November 2009 from a nice VW enthusiast in Ohio. It is set up as a lightly modified “outlaw”, but maintains much of its original look, a quality that was important to us. Later in this listing, I have included the description of the Ghia as provided by the previous owner when it was offered on eBay. That straight forward and detailed assessment by the previous owner was why I picked up the phone and called him. The conversation further confirmed to me that the seller was a good and honest fellow, committed to describing his car accurately. After that chat, I just sent him a check. Be advised, this listing is very long….you might not want to read it UNLESS you are seriously considering the car.During our ownership, we have properly maintained this nicely restored car and have provided additional improvements listed below: Complete interior & exterior inspection Tested electrical system. Located and repaired inoperative, horn, hazard circuit, ...

The reupholstering was done bya master craftsman and has the finish of a luxury car. The 1600 classic air cooled engine has been rebuilt with all new parts and has just been broken in.When the engine was dropped, the clutch was replaced and the transmission given a service. It is in excellent working condition. New shocks, new Michelin tires and a 2017 battery. The windows open smoothly, all the doorslock, front door power locks with alarm. Sony stereo with four very good speakers. This bus has all the charm of the seventies with the improved handling, steering and driveability of more recent model. This 1959 VW 23 Window Microbus has gone through a very extensive ground up restoration. Meticulously restored using as much of its originality as possible. No expense spared when it comes to upgrades either. This bus is powered by a upgraded and freshly built 2110cc engine from Powerhaus in California. To show it off, you will find the engine bay is illuminated by LED lights with the flip of a switch. The 4-Speed transmission was also gone through and rebuilt by Competition Engineering so it would shift exactly as it should with zero hiccups or linkage problems. A great deal of time was taken to make sure this bus looks as great as it runs, sounds and drives. Unlike many others, this bus sports a very straight body with great paint. The interior was completely redone with a classy vintage vibe that compliments the overall appearance quit well. To top it off and take it to the next level you will notice the all new ragtop and restored roof mounted luggage racks. Like most collector vehicles, ...
