Pictured where stored in a local warehouse is a very rare one year only production TR250, in unfinished project condition, ready for you to take over from here. The remarkable thing about this car is that it has a totally rust-free body shell, with all fenders and rockers solid, and the floorboards are even in good shape. The only rusted are is on the bonnet (hood) that I sourced from a local British car shop, since the original one was damaged in an accident. The frame looks to be as solid as you will ever find one (see photos--typical surface rust evident). This car comes with all the parts that I received from the South Carolina collector who I bought it from, and he felt that the car was mostly complete short the seats. No hubcaps for wheels. The car sits somewhat disassembled just as I bought it a couple years ago, and I have not had time to move forward on it, hence the reason for selling. If the disassembled condition bothers you, consider that on any other car you buy, if not restored, ...

SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE VINTAGE CAR PARTS AND ACCESSORIES Further cleanout of surplus vintage cars and parts: This is a no reserve auction and the TR4A will be sold regardless of price, on or off auction. SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM FOR MORE PHOTOS. GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: Am 76 and it's time to let go of my British car collection. Started collecting cars about 50 years ago and the main objective was to buy one owner, original paint, rust free cars for pleasure and investment. Hard task. Most were junk or so called "restored" cars. Good true original survivors have disappeared and the majority of the leftovers are either "weekend restored" cars, rusty beaters, money pits or overpriced trailer queens with a dubious history. An unrestored original, even though it may have some faults, gives you an accurate assessment of it's overall REAL condition along with plenty of character (or the nauseating word "patina"). This Triumph TR4A is one of those cars. Fresh originality, nothing ...

1971 Triumph Spitfire MKIV 1300. The car is in overall excellent condition. While the car is not perfect, it is much cleaner than most, and is a great quality driver. The body was completely stripped down to bare metal and all rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. This was done on a rotisserie, so it was a very in depth restoration. The frame was also taken down to bare metal and painted to match the body. The bumpers are original and are very straight, but the chrome shows its age. The car runs and drives great. It is a non-overdrive car. I could go on and list everything that was replaced or renewed, but I won't bore you with that list, as it is very lengthy. The pictures should speak for themselves. Parts that have been upgraded are : Mikuni Carb, Aluminum Radiator, Walnut Dash, Moto-Lita Steering Wheel, Minilite style wheels, upgraded headlight circuit, EBC green brake pads, Koni Shocks all around, Polyurethane bushings, sport front lowering springs, Pacesetter Monza exhaust. ...
