PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM LISTED 1978 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE with OVERDRIVE YES, YOU ARE CORRECT THIS CAR WAS UP FOR AUCTION LAST WEEK - IT MET WITH SOME DRAMA; A PARKING LOT DISASTER WITH A MINIVAN! My husband was heart-sick and cancelled the auction because of the accident. The last four photos show what minimal damage was done to the car. It does not affect the door opening or closing, in fact not that noticeable at all. Car is still driveable and safe, just had its pride hurt more than anything! ;o} My husband has decided to still sell the car but leave the repairs up to the new owner. That way you could still enjoy it now but have the repairs done over the winter season or have it all repainted or whatever... So, instead of an auction, we are listing it as a fixed price auction with the option for you to make an offer. Husband understands that the price will not be the same as the original auction but we are starting where we hoped it was going to end at a reasonable sale price. Now knowing ...

Up for sale is a super cool car you won't see too often. Up for sale is a 1966 Triumph Herald that the owner has been lovingly taking apart and rebuilding for the past few years. He upgraded the 1.2L to a 1.5L Spitfire engine. He freshened it up over the winter and she runs great. He was just starting to tackle the electrical when other projects (mostly an amazing BMW airhead) has taken over. If it was me, I'd wire it up with a newer style wiring block for ultimate reliability. I've had several British classics and it seems the factory wiring is always the weak point. Body and paint are very solid and presentable but defiantly a few dings and dents from the years. Perfect driver as she sits right now. Take a look at all pics and planning to add a video to our Enswell Speed & Fab Facebook page soon as well. For your consideration we have a very nice 1964 Triumph TR4. A well-known classic British sports car that is a good example and certainly one of the best looking in the Triumph series. This TR4 has been maintained by the same family for the past 30 years, passed down from father to son, and is an authentic black plated California car. After having sat in a garage for the past 12 years, the current owner sought to get the car back up and running. The fuel system has been gone through, having had the carburetors cleaned out, fuel lines, and fuel pump replaced, along with a good used fuel tank fitted. The brakes were also sorted out at this time; the rear wheel cylinders and shoes were replaced and the system was bled with fresh brake fluid. As a result, this TR4 does run and drive, however it could use a good tune up to get it running more smoothly. Having undergone an older rebuild by Larones Motorsport in 1996, this Triumph has been equipped with weber carburetors, a stainless-steel exhaust, ...

Un-restored, mostly original car. Approximately 50% of paint is the original factory Pimento Red (bonnet, cowl, rear deck and boot lid). Approximately 50% has been re-sprayed by previous owner(s). Some flaws such as: crazing in some areas of re-spray and poor adhesion of finish (and touch-up) on right front wing (see photo). Pinhole at bottom edge of right front wing by spoiler (see photo). Top is in good condition with clear rear and quarter window plastic (two small professional patches where top was pinched in frame). Minor oil drips when parked. A survivor! Looks great as is or a perfect, easy candidate for a full, frame-off restoration. Solid bodywork, especially in all the usual problem areas. Upholstery, wood dash, rear carpet and door panels are original and in good condition. No cracks in vinyl around enrichment knob. Engine bay is original finish. Michelin Red Stripe tires. Drive anywhere. All part receipts included. Some of the items that have been replaced include: ball joints, ...
