SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE VINTAGE CAR PARTS AND ACCESSORIES Further cleanout of surplus vintage cars and parts: This is a no reserve auction and the TR4A will be sold regardless of price, on or off auction. SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM FOR MORE PHOTOS. GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: Am 76 and it's time to let go of my British car collection. Started collecting cars about 50 years ago and the main objective was to buy one owner, original paint, rust free cars for pleasure and investment. Hard task. Most were junk or so called "restored" cars. Good true original survivors have disappeared and the majority of the leftovers are either "weekend restored" cars, rusty beaters, money pits or overpriced trailer queens with a dubious history. An unrestored original, even though it may have some faults, gives you an accurate assessment of it's overall REAL condition along with plenty of character (or the nauseating word "patina"). This Triumph TR4A is one of those cars. Fresh originality, nothing ...

1971 Triumph Spitfire MKIV 1300. The car is in overall excellent condition. While the car is not perfect, it is much cleaner than most, and is a great quality driver. The body was completely stripped down to bare metal and all rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. This was done on a rotisserie, so it was a very in depth restoration. The frame was also taken down to bare metal and painted to match the body. The bumpers are original and are very straight, but the chrome shows its age. The car runs and drives great. It is a non-overdrive car. I could go on and list everything that was replaced or renewed, but I won't bore you with that list, as it is very lengthy. The pictures should speak for themselves. Parts that have been upgraded are : Mikuni Carb, Aluminum Radiator, Walnut Dash, Moto-Lita Steering Wheel, Minilite style wheels, upgraded headlight circuit, EBC green brake pads, Koni Shocks all around, Polyurethane bushings, sport front lowering springs, Pacesetter Monza exhaust. ...

I'm sad to say that my 1979 TR7 is in need of a new home. Has a new starter, tires and brakes with less than 250 miles, new fuel pump. It could use a new top as the current one wasn't installed properly and leaks while driving in the rain, back window is also falling out, but could be sewn back in. Seats need reupholstering but work fine with covers. Engine and transmission are completely original, I've worked on the engine as best as possible and have replaced the mechanical fan with an electric one. The 5-speed transmission is a little tired and could benefit from a good rebuild in the future. I just don't have the time and space for it any longer. It's been in my family since 1983 and I hate to see her go. Car has been fully soundproofed with Dynamat and re-wired from front to back with new fuse box and relays. 69,724 miles. Includes original steering wheel, mirrors, fog lights, and extra chrome trim rings.

This is a rust free TR6 in very good condition. I bought this vehicle new in January 1975 in California, and have taken care of it ever since. It has the original paint, persimmon red, with mahogany colored leather interior in excellent condition and new carpets. The top is new . The exterior is in good condition and shines up very nicely. I have installed a luggage rack. It shows the normal wear that a 40+ year old car would have. The engine is unmolested other than an upgrade to electronic ignition, and dual SU carbs. It has a new muffler and does not smoke. It has chrome, after market, knock-off wire wheels and tubular rear shocks. It had a small ding on the left front fender which has been repaired. The muffler is new. It is rust free and is never driven in bad weather or in winter. The tires are Michelin red stripe radials and show some cracking. It comes with an indoor car cover and is garage kept. I am getting too old to keep it up (wash and wax) and am not driving it anymore.
