Fuzzy Dice Autos Has up for auction A gorgeous rare 1955 Nash Metropolitan true convertible in amazing condition! The metro was designed by Nash for the emerging postwar market. Nash Motors selected the Austin Motor Company and Fisher & Ludlow to build the car. This Metro was one of the ones built in England. This particular Metro is a Series II using the Austin 1200 CC engine. Then in 1956 Austin Motor Company obtained permission from American Motors to sell the Metropolitan overseas to America.Austin Metros were produced for a little over a year with approximately 9,400 sold in the UK and throughout Europe.Although the Pennsylvania and California titles indicate that the car is a 1956, it was actually built if 1955.Now more about this beauty:The body, frame and under carriage is completely rust free. No body filler anywhere. The car spent most of its life in sunny California. This is of course verified by an earlier California title that goes with the car. The original engine was removed ...

We have owned this car since 2009. It's been a fun car and a big draw at shows. It's unique and a lot of younger people have never seen one. (under 30's). We're getting old and are trying to simplify our lives. Too many cars and not enough energy to keep up. My Father owned a Nash when I was a teen, I didn't think it was too cool then but age has sure changed my mind. I love the look of this car. I'm going to include pictures we got when we bought the car also some we have taken still looks the same. It still looks great, just not brand new. The red bottom with the black top really shows it off. We bought this car out of Blue Ridge, Va. We really don't have any history on it other than what we have done. Inside above the windshield there is a built in net. I think it is for maps and etc. It has unique sun visors, green plastic.(original equipment) The upholstery is in great shape. Has new tires and a new windshield. The seats make down into a bed. I remember I went camping with my parents ...
