I have a 1952 Nash American convertible. My best friend and I stated to restore it five years ago and ran out of money and time. It is a six cylinder with a standard transmission. I believe all the parts are still in the car and the motor still turns. We have no title! You will need to pick car up. Orrington, Maine.

I have loved this vintage 1958 NASH METROPOLITAN for a few years, but it's time for someone else to have this beaut! I don't have the right space for it anymore nor the ability to keep it up! :( But I'll be happy if someone can love it the way I have! :) It runs GREAT!! Starts right up. Have driven it several times locally. Yellow is shiny and the original color. YOU WILL GET A LOT OF SMILES FROM PEOPLE WHEN YOU DRIVE THIS!! It's perfect for a parade or just to show off!! IMPORTANT TO MENTION: It's got some dings here or there on the body. See the photos!! I would say 4-5 per side. Plus, there was a place on back right under light that was a big ding. Husband put yellow enamel on it that is too yellow--you'll need to fix that. It shows in photo of back of car. COMES WITH A COVER FOR THE CONVERTIBLE TOP when you have it folded behind the back seat! :) Top comes down great! EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS!! YES, YOU CAN HAVE A SHIPPER COME PICK IT UP! You will pay the shipper. I'll give great ...

1962 metropolitan nash. 51581 original miles!! This is a true barn find. We purchased it from the original owner. He bought it new and drove it till he had a brake issue in 1974, He parked the car and it sat there till we purchased it in 2011. Car was in San Clemente California. Parked next to his garage. We have had it in storage since we picked it up with the plans to restore. The car was purchased for my wife who has since decided she is not interested in restoring it. This car is 99% complete. The only missing thing we have found is the air cleaner and keys ;) Don't get me wrong. It needs a complete restoration. We bypassed the ignition switch a couple months ago. Got oil pressure up and got it running on starter fluid. Rust issues are as shown in pictures. Very solid start to an awesome car. On Jul-14-14 at 21:42:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked about the floor boards. They apear solid with the exception of the rear one on drivers side. I could force some ...

The engine is a 1988 2.5 chevy that runs smooth, cool and quiet with a Weber carb and HEI ignition behind that is an automatic overdrive tranny with the shifter controlled by the original three on the tree shifter and the overdrive lock-up controlled by the original overdrive cable. The front turn signals are LED in the headlights. The taillights and grille have been rechromed and the stainless is in good shape. HERE WE HAVE A 1957 NASH AMBASSADOR CUSTOM. WE ARE OFFERING THIS AMBASSADOR FOR SALE BECAUSE WE COLLECT MOSTLY NASH METROPOLITIAN AUTO'S, AND WE ARE TRYING TO THIN A FEW OF THESE OTHERS OUT TO MAKE MORE ROOM FOR THEM. THIS IS A RARE FIND FOR A 1957 MODEL CAR TO BE IN THIS CONDITION. THE CAR SEEMS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL. IT HAS BEEN REPAINTED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND WAS PUT IN DRY STORAGE SHORTLY THERE-AFTER,....THE PAINT BRIGHT AND NICE. THIS CAR DRIVES & RIDES VERY NICE. ALL THE ELECTRICAL WORKS, CIG LIGHTER, POWER STEERING, AND BRAKES. THE RADIO "HUMS", THE HEATER IS IN FAIR WORKING CONDITION, AND THE AIR IS UNTESTED, SO FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT, WE'LL SAYS IT'S IN-OP. THE CHROME STRIP ON THE DRIVER SIDE IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE, THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS CRACKED, THEIR IS SOME VERY TINY BUBBLING NEAR THE REAR ROCKER PANEL, AND THE CHROME ON THE REAR BUMPER IS THIN, THERE IS SOME PITTING ON THE DOOR HANDLES AND PARKING LIGHT HOUSING (THE REST OF THE CHROME IS GOOD), AND SOME SMALL PAINT CHIPS. ...

This little sweetheart has received a total, expensive restoration, finished in 2007, but has been driven less than 300 miles since completion. The Met belongs to a neighbor/friend who commissioned me to do the project back then. The car previously belonged to his favorite uncle who willed the car to James. I'd like to share that my automotive passion throughout the years has been restoring, driving and collecting Sunbeam Tigers along with 1957 Chevrolets. I also have a strong interest in Metropolitans, as my mother puchased the very first Met that was sold in southern Minnesota in 1954. That Met took our family of six (four kids) on many short trips to visit relatives. It was her main mode of transportation for years. She owned several more Mets later in her life and enjoyed her reputation as the Nash Lady. I have also previously restored a 1960 local show class winning Berkshire Green and white Met Convertible, since sold and currently own a '61 Red/White Met Convertible, patiently waiting ...

SEE FEATURES IN PHOTOS. In 1954 Nash and Hudson merged to become American Motors. The Metropolitan was sold by both Nash and Hudson dealers until 1957. In Oct. of 1956 the Hudson grille medallion was discontinued. Complete restoration in 2006. Always garage kept. Driven only on occasional weekends. With the 1800cc MGB engine and the 3.73:1 differential you will be the quickest Met in your club. It drives and shifts perfectly. You will certainly attract many looks and thumbs up. Once you park it, be ready to discuss the car with it's admirers. I have a file folder full of information and receipts to go with the sale of the car. This car is in excellent condition. It is a California car, so rust is not an issue. There are a couple of minor issues though. There is a small spider crack on the hood (see photo), the backs of the front seat have tiny holes where they contact the convertible top mechanism when it is down (see photos) and the left turn signal does not shut off automatically. I ...
