1961 Nash Metropolitan Coupe Up for auction is my original California 1961 Nash Metropolitan Hardtop Coupe. I purchased this beautiful Metro in the summer of 1979 from the original owner. I have cherished and cared for it since. It has always been in a sheltered environment. This strong running, beautiful Metro has NEVER had any mechanical problems. This is my last and favorite of four Metro’s I have owned and cared for. This unrestored car drives wonderfully for its vintage. The all original engine and drive train is and always has been strong running. The brakes are in great shape for a Metro. I have never had electrical problems or any problems. The body, interior, glass, paint, and chrome are in fantastic vintage shape. The interior is almost perfect and mostly original. I replaced the door panels and rear interior panels and glove box in the early 80’s. The dashboard, steering wheel and knobs are stunning, radio works, original rubber floor mats covered in coco mats (remember those?) ...

1961 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. Some confusion existed as to what you were actually purchasing when you bought a Metropolitan. They were sold through Nash, Hudson and American Motors dealers, and the Met was a true crossover. It was built in England, but it was designed and engineered here in the United States--specifically for use here. The 1961 was one of the slightly revamped modes of that year. Nash sold approximately 850 Metros that year which makes the 1961 model somewhat special. This car is a 1961 Nash Metropolitan Convertible with 1500 cc 4 cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission. Car runs and drives very well. It is an original unrestored car with the original convertible top with 45,000 miles. It has new tires, new wheel cylinders and new brakes. Includes convertible boot cover and car cover. This is a great looking car and would make a great addition to your car collection. . On Apr-22-14 at 10:29:06 PDT, seller added the following information: We have owned this car for ...

Up for sale today is an amazingly solid 1951 Nash Rambler Convertible that I bought as a complete car in Northern California over 20 years ago from the Original Owner. I knew that some day, I would give it a complete Nut and Bolt Rotisserie Restoration so I started to gather up as many NOS parts as I possibly could find in order to speed up the eventual restoration. Condition wise, the Nash had all original paint with no dings, dents or damage in any way. It did have slight surface rust on the top of the hood and deck lid but other than that, the body was totally mint. There was no rust or rot anywhere on the car but the floor pans had only a few tiny pin holes in them which has now been corrected - read on about that. Before I go much further, I would like to tell you a little about my hobby side. I am an avid automobile restorer and collector with many cars in my collection, some restored and others which are mint, untouched originals. I am actively involved in the AACA, CCCA, and many ...
